Search around for Getbents hand wound predator motors and get on the waiting list. its the easiest way and only direct no mod swap. you will find nothing but great reviews and people who want to be on the waiting list. its direct swap,no need for a new ESC, affordable, dual ball bearing and tons of torque. ( i dont have one but every review says this )

another option is for a bigger 130 can motor like used with Xmods and miniZ. search for the Big Block mod for Chevy55. however the shaft is bigger so you will need to modify a pinion and you will need to make a motor plate or modify the existing plate

the Predator motor is badass. I have a 90t with Miclaw tires. Works great. Upgrade to a 2s lipo before the motor tho. It might be the upgrade you are looking for. If not...then upgrade motor. Get on the waiting list anyways. You will be there a while.

I went with one of the micro size outrunners on hobbyking, I had to go all new electronics but this little motor will not stop for anything. I could probably spin the mqlow tires right off my rims. mounting was easy and installing all the stuff is breeze.

What Kv did you go with? How fast is it? Im looking for crapload of torque and a bit more wheel speed. What ESC did you choose? What battery voltage you run?

If he is using the 5gram 2000kv that everyone else uses it may not have the speed you are looking for though it has torque, there is a larger 3000kv outrunner I picked up and havent tried yet but I have a feeling the 80T 130 motor would be better with your setup. gobs of torque and speed

A scaler will use the same motors, if its just a scaler maybe run the stock motor and lipo and see how you like it with the weight first? still wouldnt hurt to get on Getbents list. if you decide you dont want it once you get it Im sure it would sell within hours of you posting it FS.

Not to rip on anybody but I've had 2 predator 80t motors from get bent with the lowest gearing possible and stock size tires and power out allot. I think I will be going with the outrunner motor next.

A 130 can motor might be a better choice, that way you dont need a new ESC and RX

For the 2000 Kv outrunner

I'm running it and like it a lot. People complain about wheel speed but it has lots of torque.
I just geared mine higher and its comparable to stock speed with lots of torque and low speed control.

you have to do a little custom fab. nothing hard though. mine should be here in the next day or so. When I go to mount mine I am going to take a few pictures to show how I did it. I am curious about the larger outrunner that spoo76 mentioned. I have ran the stock and the 80t Predator motor. I wont knock the predator as even on nimh batteries you can tell a difference.
