Default quick and dirty H1

here's my quick and dirty H1 "scaler" build.

base micro
tires: RC4WD rock crushers
wheels: RC4WD micro stamped beadlocks
body: a SSMT H1 I had laying around
shocks: losi LOSB1522 (long set, required buying two sets)

I wanted to lower the ride height a bit so it wouldn't be so top heavy, also matched up the wheels to the body better. I swapped out the ends from the crawler shocks to the long micro-T shocks. Wow are these things weak, broke the first shock shaft trying to pull them off the ballends.

mounted up the body on the existing body mounts. Probably will have to do some body hacking to clear tires in the future.

flex is considerably less than stock but better for scale looks with the body.

close up of simple body mounts. 3/16 styrene epoxied to inside of body.

thats all.

thanks.

yes those are from about a year ago. I looked on the RC4WD website and it appears they no longer carry these, which is a shame because they are nice looking wheels a bit of a pain to mount but work great.
