Default RCMC wideners

Ok, the RCMC is coming together now. Running with a Losi 2S 650 mah pack that fits perfectly in the TVP behind the motor. HR shocks with cut springs for 50% droop and Slick Honey grease treatment. I have a set of Mickey Thompsons arriving tomorrow and I have HR bead locks wheels. I'm just not sure if they will fit with the existing hex and was wondering where to get wheel wideners, if needed.

Thanks all!!

They should fit. As far as wideners go, crawlerx has them and bwd has them. Though, I am not sure which will fit the HR rims...

The HR rims use a hex, so either adapter will work. The Crawler X adapter is perfectly fine and is 1/3 the price of the BWD adapters.

I do not recommend BWD wideners for the RCMC, the barrel nuts are not compatible with the stub shafts (too small). That being said though, with the hr rims and the BWD wideners, you'll end up wider than the CrawlerX spacers. Reasons.....
The hex of the wheel eats widener length with CX kit, while the hr wheels with the stock hex and BWD spacers allows the full length to be used for widening. I use BWD spacers and CX barrel nuts drilled out a bit to account for the RCMC thread size.

The BWD kit is $29 for the spacers and nuts, spacers only cost $15.

CX kit is $10, buy the BWD spacers and CrawlerX kit and mix n match to suit your needs for all around $30. Spare goods is always nice too.
