Default Trail Trekker w/Blade TMC V2 setup questions..

Well just started in the crawler scene, but been into R/C for a while (2-TMAXX, 1- RC10T4, 1 - Mini-T, 1 - mCP, 1- mCPX that's on my work bench now...blah blah blah), but I have a few questions about the setup I have. I bought the Blade TMC V2 chassis the same day I bought my TT. The instructions and are based off a MRC. When I did this set up I had some major binding issues (TT being wider, longer, etc). I have flipped the shock tower everyway and tried every hole possable even drilling some new ones for another angle. I think I got it pretty good now, but just wondering if anyone else has the setup like me (TT w/Blade TMC V2 chassis) and what I could do better? Also on the very bottom on the chassis (Where the motor mounts) I can't seem to get it horizonal to save my life!! On the back I had to put the top links a little higher to releive some stress off the drive shaft for the angle was too sharp. It climbs a lot better now (Blade TMC V2 chassis, LiPo, wide wheel mods (Danally) and the boggers help a lot) then the stock setup. FYI Yes a HiTec servo is in the mail headed this way!! What can I do to make it better?

Default Trail Trekker w/Blade TMC V2 issues

Well I'm a noob to the crawler scence, but been in R/C for a while (2 - TMaxx, 1 - RC10T4, 1- Mini T, 1 - mCP, 1 - mCPX on the bench now....blah blah blah). Well I bought the TT, chassis, LiPo and Boggers all at the same time (After several weeks on here). Anyways I bought the Blade TMC V2 and put it together. The problem is the instruction are for the McRC and when I did this setup the TT was binded up everywhere. I flipped the shock tower everyway and used every hole I could to make things work. I got it to do pretty good, but just wondering what other have done with my setup and what I could do to make it better. Also the bottom piece (Where the motor mounts up to the chassis) I can't get it parallel to the table to save my life. I had to move the rear upper links up more to give the axles a better angle (Binding up) and I mounted the shocks opposite then the front. Like I said, just trying to see if I can do something better!! Thanks guys!!

It would appear that you need to mount the rear upper links 2 holes farther down on the chassis plate. You may have to mess with the shock mounting positions in the rear. Get more trekker brass ball mounts, they bind less.

I agree.

It looks like your riding high in the suspension which is good for clearance but bad for COG. You could cut your springs to run a semi-droop setup to get the ride height down about 1/4-1/2" but, really, Its personal preference.

Awesome Looking rig! I am wanting to build one myself! I was wondering, what wheels are you using in your original post pictures with the TSL boggers on them??? Thanks!
