| Dp torsion micro chassis help.
my dp torsion micro chassis is being installed now. Im having trouble getting the links onto the balls because there pretty rigid. any ideas on how i could do this because i dont want to break them

Take the plates off and lay them flat against your table/work bench. Then take a pair of pliers and grab the threaded end of the stud. Press the stud in upside down and it should pop in. This spreads the load out on the link so it doesn't break. I do this with my shocks all the time and I haven't broken any yet.

that explains the 6 broken shocks i have lol. They should make the shafts just a weee but stronger on these crawlers but ima try that im working on it as we speak.

seriously i think my stock ball end may be too big.... i have tried so hard and i cant get even one to go in....

Did your DP come with 4 hex bolts? If not you will need 4 - 2.5mm hex head bolts....They fasten the upper arms in place of the ball studs Not my pic but it gives you a idea of how they go. Last edited by chevy55; 11-26-2012 at 07:31 PM. Reason: Added pic |

yes they came with 4 stainless hex's. i see they dont use the ball studs they use the screws to pivot on;)

Yup just don't tighten them down to tight, leave em a little loose |
