Default Son's Micro Mods

First one of these I've bought. Read through all of the mods you guys have already done but I want to do any mod that is no cost so here's where it's at...
Removed trans case cover
Flipped shocks upside down
Moved stock battery to rear of chassis
Uncased electronics and moved to front of chassis
Hard wired on/off switch to the on position
Removed foam inside tires
Removed plastic battery & platform bracing

With just these mods alone it made a HUGE difference in the way it crawls. I just bought a HS65 servo for it and will go the Lipo route as well as it's worth it. I'll probably get a new motor for it as a back up to the stock motor. Not sure what motor to get but I've seen the custom ones for sale (DD90) and get one of those. I've got other crawlers that need my attention at the moment so I'm doing only the mods that are inexpensive.
The one thing that I would like to find is a set of springs that are soft enough to let it go the full travel on the shocks and are not so stiff that it sits up high. How are the springs mod working for you guys ?

When you do that do the mounting screws line up? It looks like 2 of the 3 line up and on the 3rd one you would have to drill a hole in the skid to get the last screw in place.
Also do the drive shafts line up the same or do I have to swap the front & rear drive shafts?

DOH! That is so simple. Just swap ends on the skid. Duh... Thanks!
