Default Are miclaws still available anywhere?

Hi,

It looks like miclaws tires aren't available anywhere anymore?

Anyone knows if it's still possible to get some somewhere?

If not, any recommendation for some other tires?

Thanks

RCmart had some come available a month or two ago I believe it was. They went really fast though, fast enough that I got them in my cart and ordered only to get the sorry email later... You can occasionally find someone selling a set in the classifieds.

I beleive RC mart still sells a MOA crawler that comes equipped with them...i suppose it matters how badly you want or need them. There might be enough parts on there that you could part-out to make the tires not cost $90.

Don't know how well these cars will part out, if at all, but the price has gone from $140.00 down to 129.99, 1-2 MONTHS to ship and looks like there are 11 in stock.

I ordered one just now. Hopefully it won't take as long as indicated, but even if it does...well worth it!

I have the non-MOA version, if it is any help to you.

My impressions? The build quality is very good with the exception of the stock wheels binding to the lockouts/knuckles when you tighten them too much. If you don't tighten them enough the wheels tend to wobble, so you have to find the right spot. Tip: stock losi micro trekker hex hubs work on these axles, so you can swap the wheels from your losi trekkers onto the miniqlo. I am guessing the losi micro crawler uses the same part no too, so they should also work.

The stock electronics? Motor is brushed but is significantly bigger and sufficiently powered for being stock (180 size i think?). Stock ESC is a 25amp brushed with built-in BEC. Stock servo is what appears to be a Hextronik HTX900 with different colored casing.

The only other con I could think of is the lack of parts availability (which is a major factor you need to consider). Most of the parts I find on ebay are pretttty expensive.

My 2¢

Oh yeah, this instructions specifies NIMH but IMO LiPO is a must! With the 4.8v NIMH from my trekker the thing could barely get out of its own way. Thinking of climbing over an object with NIMH? Forgetaboutit
