It's mig welded, can't Tig to save my life.

For bends, I've just been sticking in a vise and beat with a hammer while pushing by hand. Hammering to try and get tighter bends.

Tried to make scale to a real Ftoy, had to fudge is some areas. Wheel base would make it 12th scale, but make the tires something like 46's.

What kind of mig are you using? Im thinking of getting a no gas wire feed for tubers and small stuff.

Snap-on muscle mig 250 with gas. Almost cried when I got the bottle filled, $43. Earlier this year was $28. Had a little Lincoln 130 with flux core. Very handy, kick myself for selling it. Flux core handles dirty metal better, gas requires more metal cleaning before welding.

I don't see any reason it wouldn't work wonderfully.

Try refilling a bottle up here in Ontario, it cost me about $50 canadian a year ago.:-(

Not sure I could get the bottle across the border, and if I could, who knows what they fine me with. Could get very costly. Oh, wait. No one said this was a cheap hobby/addiction.

Is yours just going to bolt on or are you gonna mount everything to the tuber? I think I might try a direct bolt on tuber. Im gonna try to make it like the x chassis on that same website as the ftoy. I might try to cram an interior in it too. I've got some sweet racing seats to use.

Bolt on for now, too many irons in the fire to build a whole chassis.

Had comp to run this weekend, so no work done. Need to wait for more money for more material. Really wishing it was tubing instead of solid. So much weight up to really affects performance. Might source some 3/16" brake line.
