Thanks man.

the ones on it are stock mrc black faux beadlocks the tires i listed, and they are RC4WD Outcroppers.

probably getting some nice beadlocks for it soon or running the cutdown m3 gladiators and hpi rims i got off of kaetwo.

Gotca on the measurement! I think your right, that angle on the ruler was throwing me off a bit! One sick little crawler I'm still waiting on my mini Fatdog for my LMC to get in! Should be just about the same size Looks like Mini is the way of the future!!!

are you using 3/16 OD aluminum tubing?? and are you brazing?
cause im thinking of using some 3/16 steel round stock as well as some 5/64 steel hinge pin i got lying around...whats your take on my material choice, seeing as how you have prolly made a couple of these things

3/16" brakeline, so steel. What you're suggesting will work, but it'll be a lot heavier. 3/16" round stock will also be a lot harder to bend and cut. It'll definitely be indestructible though!

Okay so i managed to get out to our compsite this weekend and shot some action pics of the little skunk. she handles very well and i think she will do ALOT better after i go droop. i decided to run the gladiators that i got from kaetwo and man they HOOK up on the rock we have here. even thoe the rocks were all SUB-FREEZING temps.

For those interested (and to avoid having to keep replying with the same pm to people !), I will likely be making a small production run of these frames in the near future. I need to finish other frames for other people who have been waiting for their projects first and get necessary feedback from Tre to tweak the final design. Price point will likely be about $75 shipped. Would include the chassis (primered and painted flat black if wanted), skid, and lexan for panels. Will likely offer two options, one just like Tre's, another with a bolt in plate to allow you to use all stock links.
That's a sweet little chassis, and I'd stick with the name Skunk, it's catchy

Great idea on the bolt in plate, and will the skid be pre-drilled for the MRC transmission?

If that's the way you want it set up, sure. With the bolt in option, I was thinking more that the bellypan would go under the stock skid. Once I braze up another one, I'll build it up and show everyone what I mean.

As I said before, Tre's design is a little more geared towards a comp rig. After thinking about it, the bonus of getting the bolt-in design is you can remove the stock plates/skid afterwards if you want and just use the bellypan like on Tre's.

Built one for myself Made a few changes, the biggest being that this bolts up all the stock components. Thanks to 666 for the axle mounted battery pack idea Will be testing out some MLST once they arrive, but I can't see there being problems with clearance.
