| shock options for mrc question
Ok, I've read lots of posts and now I have way more info than I can handle. Can someone give me the lowdown on these options. I know that the Losi mrc upgrade shocks are unavailable for a while so what about the losi mini truck (not crawler) shocks and what about the Tamaya touring shocks. Mounting and length are my main questions. cheers, Wade |

wade, welcome to the boards. I hope you find the community friendly and helpful. unlike this first encounter. Anyways, I have not yet upgraded my shocks but from what i have seen being used are the 3racing mini lst shocks or the losi mini-t shocks. Keep browsing though. You will find loads of information on subjects like this. Its out there, trust me. Last edited by RCMFMaxxMan; 10-29-2008 at 06:50 PM. | |

For a direct replacement w/o waiting for the Losi's, these Hot-Racing ones are out too http://hot-racing.com/?partnumber=MRC36801&c=444 I haven't heard any direct feedback on them, but they look promising. I've never had any HR stuff before though. |

It's hit or miss with HR products. I see lots of guys come into our LHS with their stuff, and some of it is ok, but I have first hand knowledge that their AX10 shocks leak like a civ. Could be just a bad set, but you never know. This may not be the case with the HR MRC boingers, but never the less, dig a little deeper before you buy...look for some reviews or ask around your local shop. |

Losi mini T rear shocks can be had with nitrade shafts and are just a tad bit shorter. I am going to run the Losi late model shocks, they are much shorter and have threaded bodies.

| Ya it can, those don't look to great, non anodized bodies, non Ti Ni shafts. 2 sets of these will give you two full sets of shocks to choose from, short and long: http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Team-Losi-Mi...d=p3911.c0.m14 And these are super nice, but may be a little short for some: http://cgi.ebay.com/Losi-Aluminum-Th...d=p3286.c0.m14 |

| What is the total end to end length for the Losi Late mini late model ones? I thought they were the same length as the mini-t rears?

| http://www.tcscrawlers.com/Yeah-Raci...I-p-16977.html I got these yeah racing shocks, they came with 3 sets of springs and lots of different types of mounting equipment. Easy to find a way to get them on the car. Works great for me. |

I have a set of the HR shocks I got from LiquidRC. They're pretty smooth and work well but the knurled adjusters are a loose fit on the body. Luckily I didn't want any preload anyway. ;) I have most of the HR stuff so far and I've been pleased although I've needed a few minor mods to get it all the way I wanted. I like the extra center mount pieces that came with the shocks, after trimming them down a couple of mm and threading two together I had a new center brace. |
