Specs:

track width-7"
Tires-stock for now
ESC-mamba 25
Motor-HH go faster
Suspension-4 link
Winch- TBD
Lights-LED head/tail/rock

Thanks guys, I am waiting on a few more items to finish it up.
Need to add rock sliders still.Using the brass tubing is so easy to solder together, no more trips to the cold shop to braze. The tubing is thin walled and much lighter than brake line. Once soldered and triangulated it seems very stout. Time will tell if it was a good choice or not.

Can you post some "body off" shots of the L-trail chassis?

Also, do you know what is the max. wb of the L-trail?

Thanks,

L trail chssis has been removed , it served its purpose for a test platform to lay things out. I am now making a custom chassis designed around this specific build. Sorry.

Look at the pics in the first post Jato, the L-Trail is too big for that body.

Biggest problem was shock mount locations in relation to this body. I di have plans for the L trail in another 1.9 build

Cool. I can't wait to see the L-Trail build. It's a cool chassis and I've thought about getting one. I will eventually probably go L-Trail or tuber.

I do agree that the Jeep body didn't look right on the L-Trail chassis.

Made a few changes to it. Prepin for MSD scale nats 2010
First I took Chino's idea on the portals cuz it is so dang awsome  Operation Achtung!!

Ground clearance is thru the roof, those are cut down hammers...right around 3.5 tall

Decided it was time to add the matching body for the THING 2.2, this will be THING 1.9.

They are made by 3 racing and are called high clearance knuckles on their site. Made to fit the axial axles but with all of Deans infinate wisdom, they can be made to fit the MRC axles.
