I don't really see how a zip-tie or servo tape could be all that hard myself.

Is that a strong enough servo to be worthy of a swap ? What is it rated at ? Maybe the work you put into moding it would warrant a 645 HT ? It is waterproof , but what about your motor etc ? Are you going for a waterproof rig ? Pick up a Axial servo mount ( cheap) , Take off stock losi servo mount plate , re drill the Axial mount for losi mount holes , make or get some upright mounts to screw the new servo to , and your good to go .

Double sided (servo) tape is how most people have been mounting their electronics for a LONG time. It's how I do everything but mount servos and it's been fine. I use zip ties on my rock rigs purely for the fact that they spend a lot of time cartwheeling down things.

Trike kid sounds a little contradicting, you tell him to mount hise traxxas servo with servo tape and zip ties, and then you say you mount everything with servo tape BUT servos... Is that a typo or were you thinkin he was mounting something else?

I read ESC both times I posted instead of servos, I'll go back to my corner now.
