It would all depend......Who makes your tuber for you. And what company or vendor you chose to get parts from. I over $600 in mine and counting......

I have been busy with work and my home remodel but aren't the trucks 300 at the hobby shops? Or is the 300 you have into yours on top of the price of the truck?

Nope. TCS has a couple of them out. Check the vendors on here. There are a few that make some killer tubers. I got mine from K-9. You can expect between $80-180. It's all in what you want. There is a all aluminum tuber being made that's nice. Do a search in the MRC forum and in the vendor section as well. You will find all that you need. |

The extra $ in mine is from the cost of the tuber, aluminum beadlocks, tires, battery's, knuckles, C's, shocks, and servo. I also have a scale chassis for it from TCS and the Jeep body they have. Also have a Newbrite Jeep body and a FJ body for it.

| I paid $200 for mine at my LHS. I bought a K9popo Lapdog, $80ish, and recycled some old 2/3a cells I had.

Ok thanks kenny, Do you like your tube chassis or would you have purchased another one after having yours for awile? Plus..Has anyone built one from scratch? or do you need to buy the full truck with the crappy electronics to build one? |

$600.00 sounds like a high end of the deal. Alum beadlocks are bling, but more affordable axial, proline and thundertech rims will be and are available. Alum. knuckles and C's are heavy duty, but with how light the rigs are, it is kind of overkill. Has any one broke stock ones yet? Eventually someone will. Tube frames will be cheaper than 80 bucks once available from the crawler store. Spend your money on a good servo, batteries and shocks. |

I love my K-9 tuber! I paid $239 for my mini before tax, $50 for tires, $50 for knuckles and C's, $80 for the tuber, $115 for the beadlocks(They are #1 of 4 made, and they can be used on other 1.9 builds) $60 in battery packs, $50 for the servo, $40 for motor on the way, $50 for the scale chassis and Jeep body, and $25 each for the 2 hard body's......it adds up!

I think 600 would be well worth it. I am going to the hobby shop tommorrow after work and see if the have them. I have a hobby room full of stuff so i can probably use a bunch of parts. I guess i need the truck first. I just don't like to continue to throw cash at a rig if i can just build it right the first time around. This one will be built right. I don't baby my cars/trucks..I don't intensionally try to brake them either but durabuillity is #1 for me. I have not even seen one of these in person yet but i love my tlt so i'll give it a try.Ive always been into mini's for fun and this seems from looking around here, they are also capable of more. one more question..Do these trucks use 1.9 or 2.2 wheels? or either? or are they smaller than that? |

| i have about the same in hardware and zip ties. i finished 2nd in our first comp against a guy who had motor tires shocks..... so this rig works you just have to move stuff around not throw money at it.

I'm into my MRC 270 including the cost of the truck. Only money I've actually spent so far is for a better steering servo, and I will be buying new tires soon so that'll be another 40 or so. Most of the modifcation you can do to these trucks is free. The only non-stock parts on my truck are the servo and shocks (Evader BX front shocks in front and Stampede fronts in the rear set up for droop that I had laying around). |

Ya the more i read about this truck the more i am liking it. I think i will just get my hands on one tommorrow and go from there.I really like tattookenny's chassis so that is a must for me..I have alot of servo's and a few small lipos around so i'll start there. I think i'll have to get a set of wheels/tires also if they are 1.9s or smaller. I have a ton of 2.2s but from what i gatter those are way to big. |
