Default Rock Bashers vs. Rock Claws

Anyone have experience with using the new blue compound tires for the MRC? Which style seems to be working better, the Claws or the Bashers?

All I can say is that I have the new bashers and it is such a dramatic improvement from the stock claws. It's literally a whole different crawler. I have not tried the blue claws but I'm sure they rock. I'm just not in the crowd that orders 2 sets of new tires just to compare differences. Those people are out there and I'm sure they will post soon. Down the road I will probably order some claws for comp situations giving me the ability to choose the best tire depending on terrain.
For now I am happy with the bashers, they are sick and I like the new design. Getting new tires were the easy part, it was getting wheels to mount them on that was challenging for me and I can relate to those out there that don't want to drop 100+ on wheels. The new 1.9 axial's will be out soon enough, until then you got to pay if you want to play.
I was lucky and had something to trade.

I have driven my bashers side by side with the claws and I would say claws definately out perform the bashers!

forward bite seemed quite a bit better with claws and it seemed like when I got a tire sucked into a hole the bashers would almost wedge themselves into it and wouldn't come out but the claws would pull themselves out.

I will have claws in a couple days and I will let you know what i think!

your post confuses me, you say you tested them side by side , and then you say your getting the claws soon, so ?????

I got a set of the claws and a set of bashers. Between the two the claws performed better in my opinion. There where spots that the bashers seemed to out perform the claws though. But for overall crawling I think the claws take it. I also put the memory foams in the fronts and a blue foams in the back.

i have the bashers and they are definatly a lot better than the stock claws. personally i bought the bashers because i have scale moon buggy project in mind and thought they had a more scale apearence to them.

im pretty sure the blue compound claws would be better for comp type rig; the rock claw tread pattern is tried and true

Would it work if i just ordered on set of the blue claws and put them on the front? Isn't the front where the most traction is needed?

It would work just fine, I would rather have the same tire front and rear, but you won't hurt anything if you buy them one pair at a time.
