| drive shafts backwards ?? noticed that the Drive shafts on my losi are back wards. :-( i have always ran the D-shafts on my 2.2 rigs with the grooved side toward the tyranny. this way the groves will not get chewed on the rocks and start to hang up & not slide very well !! i recommend that you turn them around !! right ?? |

| uuuuh NO that would just make the drive shat splines closer to the tranny. just like ZORLAC said, cause otherwise the splines will get all mashed on the rocks = not slide in and out. i dont see how you thought that the driveshaft would change the torque if the motor....seeing as how only the direction of the motor affects the torque twist of the truck

Im thinking that the "lip" of the female end, if switched around like you guys are talking, would be more prone to getting hung on rocks and would not slide as well. Just a guess??? Jon |

yes , but if the splines get chewed up , then drive shafts won't slide , the suspension will not work :-( | |

Oh I understand what you guys are saying...I was just guessing at the reason they come like that. I must say Ive beat the crap out of mine and they still work fine the way they came. No signs of major wear & they still work fine when the susp cycles. Think I might compromise and switch the front around just for the "smooth sliding" factor in the front as well... Jon |

| I run mine swapped as well and have never had a problem. The lip of the female shaft should be up in the links. I have my shocks limited which brings down the ride height and effectively hides the female end of the shaft up in the links. |

On monster trucks and such it's still a good idea to run the female end towards the trans/diff so that it can't fill up with sand and sh*t. I can't imagine that being a real problem with a crawler, so female towards the axle is a good idea.
