Thumbs up bent links

I use 3/16 auto brake line with 3mm all tread inside then bent them together and used the stock end links . They work great just an idea for you to try only cost me about 5 bucks

Don't bend the stockers. It will shorten them up and mess with the geometry of the suspension and cause excessive upward pinion angle.

HR IS coming out with a 30 degree bent set.
To answer the original question, they are bent to create more ground clearence.
You can correct your pinion angle by adjusting the 3 link.
