Default MRC Carnage?

So what are the weakpoints in the drivetrain for these things?

I already upgraded the driveshafts and am just wondering what I need to focus on next.

Mine seems like I might have done some damage to the ring & pinion of the rear axle, but that was probably because the rear cases worked loose and I didn't notice right off. Still works well enough. I did just get a set of Outcroppers though, so I am being a little more cautious with the stock lockers.

Did yours make a creaking noise at all before it really went? I think I only killed one tooth on the ring right now.

New cases are pretty cheap. Think I saw them for $9 on ck or tcs

I dunno, I beat the piss out of mine and the only thing I had to replace was the body, tires were by choice.

I'll add 2 more shocks to the list. they cracked where the balls insert into the end.

Anybody else?

How are the trannies and axles holding up for those of you with bigger motors and lipos?

I have a 2 cell LiPo and HH Torquemaster Mini motor with 11 tooth pinion and I keep stripping lockers. As soon as I get my metal lockers installed I'll let you know what goes next.

Sofar I've only torn up the left rear locker plate and had one of the driveshaft screws back out of the locknut. Mine's even taken a tumble off the 38" high counter at work without issue

Anybody breaking knuckles or C's? Just wondering why the aftermarket is there but I havent seen any carnage yet.

I've only lost a driveshaft bolt, otherwise this thing seems pretty tough.

Only thing I broken is a shock, that was my mistake.

I only broke my body so far. It's thinner than wax paper...

If you install your shocks incorrectly they will probably break at the top mount.

I cracked 1 body, broke 2 sets of stock shocks, fried the stock servo, I'm on my second stock motor, I've had to reconnect several of the wires to the ESC because the were not soldered well, 2 tires became unglued and the knob on my controller kept sticking until I gave it a little wack, now it's fine.
If you replace everything the axles and chassis are great. Haven't had any problems with the diffs or trans. I'm OK with the basic equipment breaking because it's fun to upgrade and by using cheaper electronics Losi did a great job keeping the overall cost down. Losi knew what we would be doing to these little things.

So far I've only had issues with the servo which I fried. Otherwise it's holding up to my abuse very well.
