I'd say they are worth the money, a few free modifications will make it crawl a lot better(limit shocks, move electronics down lower), and with a few key optional upgrades(blue Claws, Holmes motor) will make it a lot better.

Do it. On another forum a guy said he beat 3 Bergs with his modded MRC.

When I first saw the Losi MRC on the cover of Horizon Hobby's catalog that I receive in the mail it piqued my interest. I had seen crawlers before and thought they were cool, but just not my thing. The Losi changed that. I went looking and contemplated the Losi MRC, Axial Scorpion, and the Tamiya CR-01. What sold me on the Losi is that it's so small I can drive it in the house or outside.

It has such a cool factor to it. It doesn't climb obstacles as steep as I'd like or expected, but this is my first crawler so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have just begun modifying it to make it perform better. And it's a Losi product so you can pretty much expect a huge outpouring of aftermarket support.

So long story short yes, they are definitley worth the money!

Do most of yall live in really small houses or something? Cause my 2.2 fits easily into my house.

Geesh, what are you doing to it, throwing it off the top of the stairs? Mine has taken some tumbles off the top of my couch to the floor and it shows no signs of any damages at all. Haven't even kinked the body on it yet.

I have stalled out the stock motor and the Venom motor on it with a thunderpower 1320 2S lipo and have yet to strip anything on it.

I will say that with a Lipo the motor seems to have come alive.

Stock it is ok, much like any other rig available.

After some mods, tweaks and upgrades, it is a crawling machine.

I'm not gentle or hard on my rigs, I just expect them to perform to a certain level. My MRC will get there but it's going to be completely overhauled.

Well I have not had much chance to play outside personally. Between work taking up any freetime during the day light hours and the winter weather setting in,Snowing and blowing outside right now, I have only got to do some couch and kid crawling.
