Default Micro Crawler?

After seeing this losi crawler it makes me wonder how small the manufacturers could go with these. I mean could you imagine holding comps on your computer desk! How cool would that be?! I think something around 1/36 scale would be just right!

A 1/36 scale ax-10 or losi crawler would sell like hotcakes

Thumbs up

For how much time I spend at my desk, I would be one of the first in line.

I've seen a bunch of zip zaps monster trucks made into crawlers, as well as xmods 4x4's. granted, they are toys, but it just show's that it can be done. There are some cool vid's for both on youtube

Probably should be in the Chit Chat thread, but if a micro crawler ever hits the market, guess who will be behind it...

I'd be down for sure. I've wanted a small crawler for a long time.

Losi seems to be the king of micro, they'd be the ones to step up probably.

I've seen a few nice 1:24th scale rigs here but they're full custom. Good luck finding SSMT axles these days.

That would be all it would take for a lot of folks - for someone to just manufacture and sell a good quality pair of axles in a small scale like 1:24th or even 1:36th.

If those techno-nutty Germans can do Matchbox-sized stuff, surely 1:36th scale is not too unrealistic?

The Mini-Z Overland made an OK crawler. It is only 2WD but the rear diff is lockable and if you build the right terrain...table top crawling. I always thought Kyosho should have or still should make a real 4WD version of these 1/28th trucks.

If anyone makes a smaller crawler than 1/16, I hope they go 1/24. It'd be stupid to not utilize the 100's of bodies and scale parts available in the 1/24 and 1/25 model industry!
