Default MRC Cross brace question.

I bought the 55MM axial links to make a crossbrace for my MRC and people tell me that you can hook the shocks up to them. Do I need spacers? If so what ones? Thanks guys.

You need the 60mm, but if you actually measure it's 59.?? mm not 60 , so it will tweak the frame out alittle unless you cut it down.

I seen some guy's use whatever they had, I made my own out of the metal threaded rods removed and some carbon tube, that's how I found out it was under 60mm
If you measure the the batt plate removed and or the skid that holds the trans, you'll get the measurement you need.

No way man, you got the correct ones. Just use 1 little spacer, like the green ones from the AX-10 kit. Then you can get some bolts, mount the shocks on the outside of the chassis. Screw the bolts through the shocks, then through the chassis plate, then through 1 spacer and directly into the bars you bought. You only need 1 spacer per bar.
It will work great. Just go to the hardware store and buy 1 inch or so long bolts that will fit the tread in the bars you bought. Don't give up man, you can do it. and it will work great.

the 55`s will work just fine, all you need are 3mm bolts and washers to tweak it to stock specs. before you buy the M3's measure the length you need, probably 15, i forgot. for the shocks i used some shock spacers from my t-maxx lying around in my tool box.

I used the 60mm braces from axial, perfect fit and no need for additional spacers. Simply thread the stock shock mounts into the axial braces (fit perfectly). They do tweak the chassis a tiny bit, nothing to worry about. Now you have room on the upper-links between the shocks for the stock battery or a cool little lipo.

I just bought the mini lst threaded shocks from 3racing. Any suggestions how to modify it to fit them? Im guessing do as up and over suggested getting a longer m3 screw. i would think with the longer swivel balls in the mlst shocks i might need a m3x25mm ??

This is them.

I used the HR "control arms". They were just the right width. I enlarged the holes and screwed the threaded rods into them. Then I placed the nuts on the outside of the frame. Work well, fit well and easy assembly/disassembly.
You can also use the stock rods with nuts.

Just an FYI...

I used the stock lower bolt in mine and have had no issues.. with the upper I install a 1.25in 3mm screw.. no issues..

Take the upper part of the suspension, and with the larger diameter spacer for example install that side to the frame rail.. then the lower has a swivel joint and install that on your axles...
