it did lose a little bit of articulation but it is no longer top heavy. im looking into some other shocks to give it aq little more travel but at this point it works well enough for me. i used some fueltubeing and a srew with a washer on it to hold the top of the shock on again this works really well im not happy with the location at this point so im thinking of moving it to inide of the frame hopefully get a little better articulation out of it and thx again for your comments guys

UpDate!!!!! so i we fixed my shock mounting works much bettterrrrr i mean woa much better mount the shocks inside of the frame not on the outside like i did my first time the truck feel much better and im alot more comfortable with my driving now. secondly i have foudn my new home Tap Plastics in stockton muhahah i love this place. can u say custom links? i picked up some white delrin and am in the process of makign custom links for the mini. i did a few tests tonight on my buddys rock pile and it make a huge difference. i slide on the rocks now and dont get hunt up like i did before. the only thing is i got a little hasty and instead of finishing them correctly i put them on to go test and the edges were catching so i need to smooth them out but woa much better. im also waiting for my new losi alum wheels and blue comp tires to come in hopefully they will be here by wed so i can use em during the wed night crawl out in manteca. here are some pics and advice is welcome im still new at this. finsihed one kinda shows a raw link not finished rear bent links these are just a hair to short making longer ones tomarrow bent and a straight to show the diff. they actually helped a bit and i did notice with my testign i got rock rash up till where it bends then my wheels had better surface area to grab to i didnt high center as much on my metal links great improvement and the bent links on the truck im happy with the results so i will be extending the links just a bit to free up pinion bind which isnt bad at this point just tryign for the best possible. next will be making a 4 link for the back with the same stuff and working on makeing a delrin skid plate for the mrc the stock plastic one kept getting caught up tonight for somereason i guess i just notice it more since my metal links arnt getting held up. im thinking about tryign to dye the delrin to see if i can get some color on them and not just white but only time will tell. next in store is a mini torque master and a mini grappler body i think imma use some spastix color changing paint cause thats what my wife wants me to paint it and since shes allowing me to spend all this money its worth it thx for any advice u have for me |
