Default Losi MRC rear lock-outs

What do these do exactly? I am getting caught up in ordering aluminum parts but am not sure what the lock outs actually do for me. Total newbie btw.

The stock one is plastic and people tear them up, might as well upgrade. You won't be able to see it once you install it though, its all covered up.

Actually the rear hubs on the MRC are 2 molded pieces and the rear axles are 2 pc per side. With the aluminum lock outs, we've machined the hub into one pieces as well as including a 1 pc Stainless steel axle shaft. Less parts, cleaner look and a little more ground clearance with the flat head screws.

Hope this helps,
Rich

You dont get the "Click" or slack from the dogbones either, it makes them solid so near no slack on the back end.
