| Redmike's Orange DmG NAT w/short video
Had my DmG NAT tuber for a little while now and I must say I'm having a blast with it (Thanks again Jerry!!!) Here's some of my rig's specs: -DmG NAT chassis -4WS w/stock losi servo up front and Hitec 225 out back -Futaba 3PM set up for the 4WS -Castle Mamba Micro Pro esc -Trakpower 1600mah lipo -Holmes Hobbies TorqueMaster Mini motor -drooped stock shocks -Stock wheels and tires atm (have blue claws and memory foams but waiting on worthy rims ) -4oz front / 2oz rear a short video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XgfeGmBwvc and a few pics: Still working on enlarging my indoor playground. I'm having as much fun making "rocks" and obstacles as I have driving this little rig. |

I'll just stick it the how-to here just cuz The wood is all from about 14 feet of construction grade 2"x4"s. The individual boards shown were each ripped down to about 3/4" x 1 3/4" by cutting down the length of the 2x4's width and height. You could just buy lumber closer to the desired size to avoid all that, but I doubt you could do it for the $3 it cost for the lumber I used. The individual bridge planks are 12" long and the bridge uses 28 suspended planks, plus 2 more planks attached to the uprights at each end. Those uprights on the ends are 25" tall and the boards running the length of the entire structure are 54" long. The boards not held by rope are all either bolted or screwed together (I bolted some to make taking it down and reassembling it easier if the need arises). I drilled holes in the bridge planks about 1" in from each end and ran clothesline type rope through them. I'm not sure how many feet of rope it took as I already had it around and didn't bother measuring it. I then placed a 1/4" nut between each plank to evenly gap them (I suppose you could also tie knots in between them, but I can't even imagine the headache that would be ). The support line is more clothesline run parallel to the rope that runs through the planks and it is mounted about 4" higher. There is then a 3rd piece of rope on each side that I "laced" around every other gap (around the nuts I mentioned earlier). Only the rope run through the planks is really necessary for structural support, I added the rest simply because I liked the way it looked. Last edited by redmike; 11-24-2008 at 07:18 PM. |

| Ya, I really like the added punch of the MTM. The only problem I had with it is that I broke a tab off the can when I was pulling the wires around in the buggy. I'm used to the heavy duty tabs on 540 size cans and I guess I must've just been too rough for it. I ended up just soldering to the top of the motor endbell by the brush screw.
