| Losi MRC sacraficed... 1.9 XR311 build.
Well, a cool buddy of mine gave me this kick ass Tamiya XR311 body set, with the driver! It was brand new and complete so I decided to donate the mini Losi crawler to the build... Heres the specs... Tamiya XR311 1/12 scale body set with driver (Thanks John!) Tamiya Hilift chassis, cut down 2 inches Losi MRC axles Losi MRC tranny (used as transfer case) PTI Inline billet aluminum gear drive 45T Integy (mounted in rear with gear drive) Losi MRC Drives lines Losi MRC Shocks Setup 4 link (Losi MRC Y link in rear and 4 link in front) HR aluminum links with aluminum rod ends (43mm) Losi MRC mini servo mounted in font chassis channel Custom exhust piping and muffler (PFB made the muffler!) What I will add: 1.9 RC4WD Tomahawks or Rock Creepers, not sure 1.9 Hummer wheels Servo winch Whats left.... I need to finish sanding and preping the body for paint I probubly going to go with cammo/drab olive or I was thinking even dessert cammo tan/beige? Install electronincs, lights, detail... What do you think? Thanks for looking! More to come soon! ~K4L |

I've had one of these bodies sitting on a shelf for well over a year now. Your's is looking killer! Its given me hope to be able to build it up, and now I need to build another Mini. I swear, I have three and am going to end up with 5 Great build by the way. |

Thanks guys, its really coming out great, I cant stop staring at it! Update: I made drive shafts using stock MRC sliders, I ordered a set with u-joints and a bag with just a set of sliders, what sucks is Losi dosent include the 3mm set screws when you spend $14 bucks for the u-joints! Not cool, atleast Traxxas includes them with everything and I had some extras, cost about $20 all together, not too bad, hacked them up and just made them longer! Drivetrain is now complete! Now I'm ready to paint the body, work on detail, paint the driver dude, install electronics, fine tune chassis/suspension I will post up pics later today! ~K4L |

Great use of a killer body kit. Has always been one of my favs ever since rbgerrish did his build. Looks like the MRC is a perfect fit. |

| nice build. That body looks just like a Firefox rc car from the 70's/80's. Gas cans and all. Here is link to it. http://www.inthe80s.com/toys/images/...1891_thumb.jpg |

I stand corrected on the Firefox body. It appears as if the Tamiya and the Firefox and modeled after the FMC xr311. A prototype military vehicle contracted in 1969 and delivered through 1971 for the us government. Still a nice build. |

love the proportions of this build! It seems to have just the right scale. How is the weight distribution with the motor in the back, are you going to need something to counter that in the front? Looks awesome! |
