| Mini Me's Chaotic Crawlers mini NiNo build!
well I got my hands on the mini nino chassis's tonight and went straight to work! it went together great! I didn't have the right hardware to use the new skid though so for now it is using the stock skid until I can get my hands on some longer m2 hardware! it goes something like this! Chaotic crawlers Mini NiNo chassis HH min torquemaster motor tekin FXR CC BEC Hitec 645mg servo DL customs wheels blue claws mini mac servo armor nightcrawler customs lower links! here is how it started here is the chassis and here she is as a roller. i will finish the electronics in the morning and start messing with link geometry and tweaking the shocks a bit. I have high hopes for this chassis, and I will keep you posted on how she goes! thanks for looking! Last edited by Mac10; 11-27-2008 at 09:13 AM. |

it should have brought my cg down a little. and the links were custom made by mutiny22, he is a vendor here but he is not producing anymore at the moment! I can't wait till saturday when I can get it out on the rocks for the first time! I love the shock mounting options and upper link mounting options on this chassis! I have been tinkering with it all morning. I had my new scaler all torn down ready to put together and then this chassis was dropped in my lap so now I have two rigs laying all over my house in pieces! and of course now I have to go eat a whole turkey today so I can't really get any serious wrench time on either of them! |

The chassis is really cool looking. Can't wait to see the completed build. Is it wider than the stock chassis? The reason I ask is because you are mounting the shocks to the inside of the chassis and they still seem to be perfectly vertical. If you mount the shocks to the inside of the stock chassis they are angled.

the chassis is actually a hair narrower but I am still running the stock skid right now. they do actually lean inward, but the angle of the pic makes them look vertical. I also just noticed I have my links on backwards too! you can tell I was up late putting it together! |

mwrighttt, how much weight is in you front end to get the tires in your mini to squat like that? what do you run for foam?

The Mini Nino chassis is sick. I love the fact that you can still use all the stock gear if you want or you can go for an all out modified comp setup too. Good work Chaotic Crawlers
