| jootz DNA slingshot/pics update page 2
since i got the MRC, i have been itching to tweak the little thing, although i am not done with this build i have gotten it to a stage where i have to bolt-up everything and put it thru its phases. *DNA mini slingshot chassis *Hitec 645mg servo *Tekin FXR esc w/ hotwire *Deans plugs *CAC 2.0 series BAMF-1 wheels *eritex 1.9 wide offset heavy wheels *JSsuper steering links and bent links *JRH torquemaster mini *mini-t rear shocks *losi blue bashers *losi metal 1433 and 1435 *elite 1100 mah 2s (7.4 volts) *Gmade wheel widener *Wheelpig strap-on weights *Dynamite servo arm and mount *traxxas ball ends *Axial bent rod ends *Integy body post mounts *TCS hardware upgrade kit a big shout out to my LHS, mike at pacific coast hobbies here in socal. never got tired of my frequent trips looking for bits and pieces, specific size nuts and bolts, advise on this build. stuff needed to button this thing up. i have not decided on which ESC to use, i am looking for an economical piece and i found new mini servos coming into the market. pics below Last edited by JOOTZ; 01-03-2009 at 02:26 PM. |

| since i am really new to this rock crawling scene, i have relied on research from this site to start this build, however experience from the members who have been into this hobby and competing will be hard to match. any comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated. thanks for looking. flame suit on... |

Looking good Jootz, subscribed to your build thread You can tell that DNA is on point, not only by the quality of their products (I mean look at that set up)...but their packaging is ridiculously impressive as well. |

DMG Nat is awaiting a build, as I await the last bits and pieces to button her all up. I thought about the Slingshot though, it's pretty sweet. One of my crawling buddies has the 2.2 chassis and that thing is hooked like a fish on a barb! | |

That is awesome! I love the 4 link setup. The chassis and servo/4 link plates look great and to be of high quality. The packaging is also pretty impressive. How much did the chassis and servo plates set you back?

im still making tweaks to the chassis, ran it this morning and found the handling to be worlds apart from the stock chassis. gonna work on the shock position and the 4 link set-up.

What extra hardware did you need to build. My chassis should get here tomorrow and I got a bunch of endlinks. Is that all I need? Do I need anything else. Your build looks good man.

Your truck looks bada$$, definatley considering a Slingshot. Just one question are the servo/link mounting plate made for the stock servo or can a 1/10 servo fit?
