Default Engineerjoe's top secret Mini

Here it is:

Servo: 645MG on stock axial servo mount. Offest to counter torque twist
Tires: Bashers
Stock wheels with the PVC beadlock mod
Shocks: it's a secret, I'll tell you if you guess correctly tho!!
Battery: 1800mah 2s lipo, it's a secret-this one I will not tell you. It mounts on top of the servo.
Stock motor and tranny for now. I may flip it depending on what replacement motor I get
Homemade steering linkage with stock rod ends.

I cut out the stock battery plate but kept the shock mounts in place. I can pivot the shock mounts to 3 different ride height/articulation combos:
1.~45 deg articulation, 1-7/8" ride height
2. ~45 deg, 1-1/2"
3. ~20 deg, 1-1/2"

I thought this was a cool idea for running different types of courses. setup 3 for sidehilling/climbing/descending; setup 1 for breakover, etc.

I'm glad that you finally picked up a MRC Joe! I just got some Bashers for Gavin's crawler and am curious how they will work. We need to get together and do some crawlin'.

lol i think I might actually be able to compete without adding bricks to this thing!! As I've said before, I'll be the first person to take my weights off when the course design changes to benefit that.

The low ride height works great for climbing, descending and sidehilling. It does get caught up on rocks easier than the tall setup but nothing a little throttle won't fix hehe!!
Also what I need to try is putting the front down low but leaving the rear up high, could have benefits of both setups
