Default What weight oil on droop?

What weight oil do I want to use with a droop set up, with MLST size shocks? Its got 1.5oz weight in each front wheel and 1oz in each rear. Im going with the droop with the hope of lowing the COG a little bit, and getting rid of the torque twist.

Before u get flamed best search the topic is every where. I ran droop for about a week wasn't for me but it didn't make the torque twist any different.

I'm running droop with stock mini-lst shocks w/3 hole pistons with 40wt oil and no springs at all. two of the piston holes in the front are drilled out to 1/32nd or so and one of the piston holes in the rears are drilled out the same. Basically making the holes twice as big. anyway, it works awsome. My links are now flat at ride height , and I really like it, it's very predictable, so if youre lookin for a starting point that should do.

I think it kind of depends how you want the suspension to react?

I ran the stock shocks for a little while in a droop setup and was using 60wt. oil running the same weight you are and liked it.

I say start with 40wt. and see how you like it. You can always change it

I am running 75wt in the stock shocks right now. I might go thicker to 90. I like the way droop works with these rigs.

Yeah, internal spring or no and what kind of internal spring makes a difference.

I run droop on the rear of my truck only (stock shocks in the front set for compression only, works best for me and no torque twist going forward at least) and I'm running just fine with 25wt oil and some internal springs in Evader BX rear shocks, without the springs, it wouldn't be half the damping I'd need.

So I really like the way it drives with 45wt oil in it, but its still will torque twist climbing up steep inclines, what do I need to do to make it stop that? Will 4-linking it work? Are there any down sides to making a 4 link set up?

A four link will help.

Don't think there are any downsides to a four link setup either.

Maybe add a little more weight to the front wheels/tires? Maybe some Blue Compound tires?

Maybe don't climb such steep inclines

Ballpoint pen springs with 1/4" fuel tubing limiters.

Seems just right.

Would the limiters be on the inside or the outside of the shock?

Depends on what you want to limit! ;)
Think about it. If you put the fuel tube on the shock shaft outside of the shock body it's going to limit up travel. If you put the fuel tube on the shock shaft inside of the shock body it's going to limit down travel.

So I would put it on the outside to limit torque twist then? And the little springs on the inside.

I put them on the inside to limit throw.
