| Different trans? Axle strength?
Has anyone used a pede trans, etc something other than stock? I guess a better question would be can the axles handle more motor? Like a standard 55 turn? 540 size. I have a scale build going and looking for options

| These axle will not hold much power without lots of upgrading.

Pede trans is way too goofy big for an LMC, scaler or not. The stock trans is a solid piece and well matched to the axles. If you need more, there are other motor options. The only upgrades at this time are for the lockers that some people have broken with the stock motor/trans setup. I've managed to keep mine alive on heavily weighted OutCroppers though, might change when I get a better motor, stocker started making that smell like it was burning up today.

| Losi Tranny can be beefed up
Also 3racing and Hot Racing make tranny upgrade parts such as gears and even a full aluminum tranny case (HR I believe) so if you are worried about space and just want to go with what fits you can always upgrade the tranny with stronger parts, and the axles as well with optional hubs, and steering knuckles. Hard Aluminum center gear http://www.hot-racing.com/?partnumber=MRC1000T&c=444 Aluminum Gear Case http://www.hot-racing.com/?partnumber=MRC3808&c=444 60T alumium main gear http://www.hot-racing.com/?partnumber=MRC860H&c=444 and there are many more options at Hot Racing you can look at. They are available through Hobbyetc. if you are wondering where to get them. Also look up Rich Trujillo, the Losi MRC is his baby, so he may be able to help out a little more, he is a member on here. |
