Default What is the amp draw with stock running gear

My applogies if this has been asked before, but has some measured the amp draw of the stock ESC/motor/drive train? Based on the 45-60 minute run times it looks like the average is around 1 amp, but how high does it jump when the motor is stalled?

I got my MRC last night as a birthday present from my kids. The first step is to replace the battery plugs so I can use a real battery charger. I should probably just buy some more Deans plugs, but I have JST connectors sittiing on my bench.

I measured about 3 amps, but somebody else should check too. It will depend on the battery and how far you can pin the throttle.

7.9 A stalled / 0.080 A free spinning motor @ max voltage 9.2 [freshly peaked battery]
1.1 A stalled servo @ 6.0V
receiver pulls 0.060 A
ESC has a resistance of 0.02 ohms @ full throttle

What was your sampling rate, and battery pack?

I believe I was set at 10 samples/second and it was definitely with the stock battery. The only mod at the time was Dean's plugs.

I was doing a baseline test back in September when I first got it to see if one of my 800mAh lipos would be sufficient.

I can e-mail you the original .FDR file for this test and for a longer test as well if you'd like.

Here's the graph of another test done the same day with the same setup, but over a longer duration:

I wouldn't have thought that setup could draw those numbers. Thank you for the details.
