Stock lockers vs. HR lockers

Stock plastic lockers.

HR lockers installed and all plastic internals removed. Btw I had no issues removing the tiny hardware.

Here is a picture of the HR lockers seperated from their packaging.

Here is a couple of pictures comparing the stock hex to the HR aluminum hex. The kit also comes with pins and set screws. The set screws are always a nice addition; no more loosing pins.

These will add approximately 1/4" overall.

So, I took my wife out for dinner and a movie (Underworld: Rise of the Lycans) today. If you have seen the other two you basically already know the whole story. We just got home and bam! 3 packages at my door. It really wasn't a surprise I was expecting them. Now that I am home I am going to try to finish as much as I can tonight so I can do a little testing tomorrow.

My first oberservatios:

1) These shocks are not that great fit for this chassis; looks like i'm gonna just have to build a mini GC-2 also . You have to llimit them to the point where they are useless or possibly go with a droop setup. I have some TL mini t shocks on the way to replace these with.

2) My main issue so far is the tiny hardware that holds the lower links on. The first time I had the mini out I broke one of the screws off up in the skid from a 2 foot fall landing squarely on all fours.

Remedy: 2mm steel rod.

Here are the updated pics as promised.

New skid from DNA. I used 2mm steel rod and tubing between the lower link rod ends.

I installed mini t rear shock with soft springs in the front and soft/medium in the rear. Ride height is at 2 1/8".

Servo crowned by Reign.

I tried to go clean as possible.

Some 5/16 fuel line and a pair of scissors.
