I think its a good idea, what some other forums do is create a sticky with links to the already existing tips threads, by topic. As new good tips threads appear they get their link added to the sticky.

what do you think?

Where I've seen this on other forums its usually one of the members who takes the lead to collect all of the best links and make a document that the moderator can then post in a new sticky thread. Contact the mod first, see if this will work then solicit the other members for their thread ideas, everybody probably has their short list of good tips threads.

What's wrong with putting together a links page to all of the best tips and mods on the forum? It won't just help the noobs, it's a great resource for everyone and if it's done right it really helps weed out the crap.

Searches are great but there's a lot of junk on here and a few gems. Plus most of the best info usually appears in posts where the title is not really clear or concise.

It's like some of you guys have a thing about being difficult for no reason.

Work smarter, not harder.

Thats the great thing about a sticky, you can ignore it and still do a search if you prefer. ;)
