Default Team Trick's - Phenom chassis build

After being thoroughly satisfied with my current mini DNA SS, I decided it was time to build another mini. Since I am building this chassis from design to completion I thought I would share the renderings with you. This chassis is nothing new or innovated by any means. It is just being built per my specs. It is a one off chassis not intended for resale. Luckily I have a good friend that owns Redline Performance Machining of Prosperity, SC that is helping me out by machining everything for me.

Disclaimer: This chassis is not intended for resale.

Looks like you are off to a good start, can't wait to see the final build.

Like you said it's nothing new or ground breaking, but it's still a cool looking chassis that seems very capable. Lucky you for having a friend with a CNC! ;)

He he, been doing the same thing with a bud here. Kind of hard to design something that YOU think is original and then it looks like a certain OTHER chassis design that is fondly known here.

Exactly. With what we have to work with, every TVP chassis will look similar in some respect; nothing distinct by any means. I have just designed my chassis with a longer yet narrower skid than stock and flexibility in shock mounting positions. Thats all.

Here is a couple updated renderings; one with some basic measurements for shock and lower link configuration.

The final version may not have so many shock mounting points.

Nice. If you want to do a limited run for fellow midlands people that'd be cool. :P

Just got off the phone with my machinist. My prototype will be in all white delrin and should be done by the weekend. He said the most time consuming part is fabricating a jig to cut the arc on the botton of the skid. Can't wait to see some progress on this.

Looks Kewl......

and a little familiar

Gatekeepers mini GC2

But as was stated earlier with a TVP design there are bound to be similarities.

Fresh off the mill. I will try my best to get everything mocked up tonight.

I apologize for the poor quality pics. The camera here at work is not that great.

I did get a little accomplished. Most of my time was spent tapping some holes in the chassis and tearing down the SS. Anyways here's some eye candy for you guys. I really like the white Delrin with all the stainless hardware.

First off I need to give some props for my guys coming through at Red Line Performance Machine. Thanks Tim!

Like I said, I got a little done tonight.

Looks great! I like the white delrin idea as well. Should add a bit of flex for it.

Thanks. Yes, there is a good bit of flex there. I hope to get more done this evening. Check back for some more updates.

Finally, got it back to a roller. I switched me Mini T shocks out for my threaded mini crawler shocks limited .500 with 50wt oil; they work a heck of a lot better in this chassis than my SS. This chassis was designed with lots of flex and has excellent side-hill capability. Next up is finishing up my own custom links and f/r top plates.

Here's some specs:

Ground clearance 2"
Wheel base 8.5"
Track Width 7.25"
Cut stock foams
Front springs - soft
Rear springs - soft/med
50wt shock oil
