Default micro mongoose? with 3s lipo?

Does anyone have the micro mongoose in their mini crawler?
Is anyone running a full size servo with a 3s lipo?
Would a 2 or 3s lipo be better?

Is the internal BEC powerful enough to run a full size servo?

I have this in mine and really like it. (of course I ripped apart a ring and pinion gear with it the first comp I ran it )
I am running a full size servo of it with no problem at all.

Im running it, with a full size servo, and a 2s lipo and the wheel speed is more then enough. The torque is great too, I ended up having to upgrade to the aluminum lockers because I stripped the stock ones.

I'm running one in mine. I also run a full size servo the JR 9100T. Running the Losi lipo 600mah and had to get an external BEC. Works great!

Default Overheating

I'm running the mongoose setup in my MRC. And have the full size servo. I'm having thermal shutdown problems. Any suggestions? Also running a 3 cell.

Suggest you send a complete, detailed description of your entire setup to tech@teamnovak.com.

Please include all info in your initial email---

specific Novak components installed,
battery type (C rating capacity mAH),
external bec (?),
servo brand,
receiver, etc.

The more details you include in your email, the quicker they will be able to assist you. Otherwise, you could be playing "email tag".

I think the problem was I'm not running a BEC. I just got a castle creations one. Im going to set it to 6V and 5 Amps. See if that will fix the problem.
