Default Micro Sidewinder?

How does the Micro Sidewinder perform on the Mini Crawler? Does it have a good drag brake or would it be better to move up to the 1/10 sidewinder?

I don't think you'll get any better drag brake between the micro and the 1/10th.

I'm running the micro on mine and really like. It is a night and day difference over the stock esc. But it does lack in the drag brake, just like all of Castle's esc's.

I run the micro's in my 1:10 scale rigs and have set the drag brake pretty high for a scaler. I'm happy with them.

I have the micro in my mini and am running the HH mini torquemaster. It holds pretty well on the rocks and haven't had a problem. I can run it up anything and no movement what so ever. I can also run it to the edge of some rocks and hang the fronts off the edge and it sticks right there.

I was nervous when i first got it but it took me about 15 mins of crawling with it to get used to the drag break difference. It's a GREAT ESC and the you cant beat the price go for it!

I run the mamba micro pro in my mini. Works great. You do get used to the drag brake in no time. The smaller and lighter the better on the minis.

One other thing I noticed when I got my sidewinder....The inproved throttle response! the control is WAY better than the stock esc especially on the low end......where it counts

Check out some of the supporting sites. They should have it on there. Go to www.holmeshobbies.com

From what i understand, the mamba25 and the micro sidewinder are basically the same thing. I think the bec on the sidewinder is a little beefier. When i put the mamba25 on my stock rig, the drag brakes sucked even set at 100%. When i put in a HH torque master motor i had excellent drag brakes again. I've even seen people run the micro on a 2.2 shafty.
