| battery position
has any of you guys ever mounted the stock battery on the upper link of you're losi? Would this work?

not the stock battery but thats a great place to mount a lipo or like i do i have a 2 cell lith-ion from a VPX battery

| if you are savvy at buildin battery packs you can break the stock pack up and put 3 cells on on upper link and 3 cells on the other. I broke mine up like that and placed them on the front axle on either side of the servo.

Yes it works and well at that. I'm assuming your still using the stock chassis. But there is a few things that has to be done for it to work. First your shocks has to be mounted on the outer side of the chassis and the shocks must be mounted on the outer side of the axle mount. For reference look at how people with the darksoul chasis mount them on the axle. I just modified the stock battery tray to work as a chassis support/shock mount. Just drill a 1/8inch hole in the chassis were the tray mounts. And drill the tray mount holes out as well so you can reuse the shock ball mounts. Then use the shock ball mounts to secure the tray from the outside of the chassis. Mount your shocks and now you have room to mount the battery on the upper links. |
