Default $900 Plus MRC!! How Much Have You Spent??

I was wondering how many of you actually keep track of what you are putting in to your trucks? I have a display only truck I have been working on over some time and figured I had about $400 in it. I sat down this last weekend and listed the parts and prices. It's actually over $950 not counting shipping and tax for the parts. The only parts on the truck that are stock are the basic axle housings and the body. I am at work and will be posting some pictures soon and a list of parts and prices to show this is real. It shocked me and just wondering how many others are doing the same thing??? I love this little truck (have 4 of them) but feel stupid for putting that much in one I won't even put in the dirt or rocks.

P.S. This one does not even include the price of a kit as I started out with a set of front and rear axles and a tranny off of EBay.

I'm scared to think what I have into my MRC. But I know that the price is up there.

MRC: $240
D/S chassis: $120
D/S wheels: $150
D/S inboard shock mount: $20
Losi aftermarket shocks (2 pair): $35 X2
Holmes Hobbies motor: $35
Futaba S9551 servo: $85
Losi aftermarket lockers (axles and trans) $15 x3
" knuckles, C's, CVD's: $15 X3
3 different sets of tires: $45 each set x3
Tekin FXR: $95
Losi Grappler body: $20

So just that alone without initial purchase of truck i'm at $820. I might be forgetting something and I'm not counting the 3 battery packs and charger that I bought.

I usually don't like to do this (makes me feel bad that I've spent so much money on a toy) but lets see:

Losi MRC: $260
Tires: $36
Vanquish Lil Harry's: $120
Used mamba Micro: $30
Prototype OCD chassis: $60 or so
Lockers: $36
18MT motor (needs motor plate modification): $12
Sold stock Tx/Rx: -$45
Free Parts: TC3 shocks, 645MG

total $509 - and I feel lucky for only having that much into it

Yeah I'm there too! This is my first crawler. Hey if anything is worth doing, then it's worth doing right I've got the same list as above except DS wheels, soon to be though, and those extra shocks.

Kinda funny because we have guys with $800 MRCs and I tried to get them involved in the off-road racing side of our club. One of them responded with "it's too expensive"

Default ffs - don't start this kind of thread!

I purposely don't know how much I've spent on mine, and don't want to know! I need deniability!

Thank goodness my wife will never hang out in this forum, if she found this kind of thread she would flip out!

Umm, so yeah... Mine is about 300 or so. And some tires... Yeah, that's about it.

MRC 200
Mini Skeeter Chassis 30
Proline 1.9 Titus Beadlocks 55
Losi Front & Rear Lockers 25
Losi Bent Lower Links (rear) 15
Misc parts 50

Puts me about $375 into it so far, surprisingly less than I guessed. Even though I've barely had it a month, I figured I'd be around $500-600. Not to worry, now I don't feel bad about spending more money on it... I'll get the cost up there soon enough

That's how it goes.... look at the simple and affordable $200 slash. It is fun stock BUT one always wants more power or a different look. By the time u add a better esc, motor ,lipo, cvd's, tires, wheels, body , charger , radio n RX you are into some $coin$

It sure is fun though.....right?
