| Motor getting hot
I've noticed that my Holmes tmm is getting very hot. I noticed it when i put my finger on the pinion gear. I've run the same set up before and it never got anywhere near this hot. The slipper clutch doesn't seem to slip as easy as other ones i have had but the stock motor didn't have any problem with heat. I'm running Flat irons or blue crushers and there is no discernable difference. What should I be looking for? Thanks MikeV |

Are you sure your gear mesh is set correctly and is your slipper set to tight? |

first off the slipper clutch in these things suck! but it sounds like your hear mesh is off. The motor will get warm, especially if you are just driving it around as fast as you can go rather than just crawling. When I installed the slider motor that thing ran way too hot, and I tried many different pionion sizes. My hh tm gets pretty hot after running a full pack through it bu nothing too bad.
