Way to much articulation, limit your shocks

most guys only run limited flex, your front tire should only go up one tire height, say your tire is 3inches your flex should be limited to 3inches to much flex will get you in a bind quick

Good info... but WHAT HAPPENS when you have too much articulation? Anyone?

Thanks

I would recommend some cross bracing to keep the chassis from flexing under load and add some tubing about 3/16" under the pistons in the shocks to lower your rig and outside on the shaft about 3/8" to limit articulation, this will help a little with torque twist.

Tire will follow all the way up an obstacle until you drive right upside down. Sucks. Learned the hard way cause I build 1.1's and more flex is better but not on RC's... Hope that answers yer questions...

first, reduce the articulation alot. Brace up those TVPs.
Build, or buy at least a rear 4 link. Get some metal lockers if you haven't already, some true beadlocks (or you can do the beadlock conversion on your stockers) and some better tires.

What else you do from there is totally up to you. You can search around here, and follow some of the build threads to see the mods that others are doing. You can take it as far as you want!!

Good luck
