If when the back wheels are spining and the front drive shaft is turning then it's gotta be in the front axle, if the drive shaft's not turning it's gotta be in the trans.

Yes, but thats no the whole story, heres what you need to do.
Place something under the center of the chassis that will suspend the entire truck in the air. Once done, hold either the front left, or front right tire and then apply the throttle. Repeat on opposite front tire. If when you apply the throttle while holding either the left (or right tire) and the opposite tire spins, then the problem is with the front diff lockers (the actual part that "spins" is the tiny little rectangular slot in the center where the axles slide into). If neither front tire turns, then its on to step two.
With the truck still fully suspened, then apply the throttle (you dont have to go full boar here, just slow so you can see whats happening). You want to check to see of the driveshaft is spinning, if it has become disconnected from either the front or rear, or if spur shafts are spinning freely in the u-joints (what I mean is that, you can see that on the tranny side, you can see the spur shaft exiting the tranny is spinning, but the driveshaft is not rotating with it, or on the axle end, the driveshaft is spinning, but the axle spur shaft is not). If either of the two is not, then you've dropped a set screw out of the u-joints.
If that doesnt work, then try out step 3. put the truck back down so that the front tires are touching, but the rears are suspended in air where they can rotate freely. Apply the throttle. If the front do not pull, or attempt to drive at all, then its the center diff thats busted. If the fronts do try to pull the truck, then try putting a little down pressure, or with your fourth, or maybe fifth hand, hold one of the front tires so it cannot move. If it gives up and wont pull anymore, then again is the center locker.

If none of that works, then post again, and we'll go over a few more things. Best to do some easy tests before you go tearing your truck apart tho
