Default RcBros miXer comp Rig

Well here's my official RcBros miXer comp rig.

Specs:
Holmes Motor
Mamba 25
Spektrum RX
Hi-tec 5645mg servo with RcBros Clamps and aluminum servo horn
miXer chasss kit
RcBros Front and Rear Lockers
Losi Center Locker
RcBros Shocks with Orange Springs 30wt Oil
Mayhem 1.9 CDP's
Losi Grappler Body

I run the stock mixer link locations which places your top links on the inside, 2nd hole up on the chassis, and middle hole on the top 4 link mounts. The lower links are moved as far out on possible on the skid.

Here's how I have my shocks setup, for the top mount I simply insert a small piece of fuel tuning into the cap and secure it flush to the chassis with the nut.

Because the MRC uses 2mm hardware I use losi MRC rod ends on the end of my shocks. You'll notice the diameter of the rod ends are to small for the spring retainer, but alittle bit of shrink tubing does the trick for a tight fit.

With the use of the holmes motor I kept blowing ring and pinions. I investigated alittle further and noticed the axle cases would flex upon force. To fix this, I added a longer 2mm screw through the axle and secured it with a 2mm nut.

Because my mamba is so tiny I can easily place all my electronics in between the tvp's of the chassis for a nice snug fit.

Now its time to start working on new improvement parts for this little guy.

Enjoy!

The rig look's great, and so do the rims. I have the same rim's on my comp rig, and love that you only have to take 4 screws out to change the weights.

I love my miXer, but i keep blowing the ring and pinion. Did your longer screw fix the problem for good?

I haven't blown one since the long screws were installed.

I have not done bent links either, I haven't seen many instances where the front links have hinder me thus far.

Lunatik ran all long screws through our axles on the Mixer. It seems to have solved the stripping R & P problems. No more problems and that is with a 3S lipo and HH motor.

Well we've got an update to my personal MRC and the miXer kits in general.
In a means to improve our products we have decided to include aluminum links and chassis braces from here on out on all our kits at no additional charge to our customers.

As some of you know, all my delrin links are handmade by myself, although they are close, they are not exact, and in a 4 link scenario a couple hairs can make a different in flex left to right, so we have decided to shell out the extra money and improve each kit with aluminum links.

We will be adding them to the site tonight and all kits will be back in stock.

Looks sweet, what's the cost going to be for just the links? Also I run the short upper links, so would I be able to order shorter links, or would I have to modify them like my old ones?

Either way Ive been loving my Mixer since it first came out, thanks for such an awesome chassis

If you modified the links that came with the kit, these will have to be modified as well. Cost will be $19.00 for a complete set of links which includes uppers, lowers and braces.

Yeah I had to take about half an inch off the uppers to make them fit in the very inside holes on the plate

How are your aluminum links going to be more acurate then your delrin ones? What is the exact lenth of the aluminum ones? What wheel base do the aluminum links set it at?

The delrin ones are cut by hand, by myself. The aluminum links are cut via a machine insuring precision on each one.

The links are the same length as the delin ones, leaving your wheelbase at 8"
