Default How much battery do I need?

I recently got an MRC that I planned on putting my 2 cell lipo in (the battery is from an RC18B) but this battery is too long to fit anywhere reasonable --- so, I'm looking for a new battery for the little crawler.

I don't expect to run over a 2c lipo, but what maH and/or C rating do I need to consider as the minimum? I will be running the stock ESC and motor. My plan is to mount the battery on the front upper links, so the shape of the battery is a big deal.

Default lipo

A helicopter lipo will work or you can buy the lipo battery losi offers for the mrc.
The mah should be between 1300 and 2000 and the c rating is that big of a deal.

I am running a 1300mah 15C 7.4V Lipo with a HH Mini TorqueMaster. Getting good long runtime..haven't ran this battery much...no sure on exact times. I have ran a 800mah 10C 7.4V Lipo with this motor and got about 45 minutes.

If you take off the top plate and flip the tranny you can fit the 18b battery on the top front links. I use a 1300 with the mini torque master and get a little over an hour of run time. Longer with stock motor.

Do you have any pics of how you flip the transmission I'm new and keep hearing about it. I'm selling my old rc cars to fund a MRC project. Or is there a thread about?

I am running some EFly 900mah 2s lipo's. They are tiny and have plenty of juice.

A quick search will reveal many posts about flipping the tranny. I think "free mods" might be a good place to start. Currently my tranny isn't flipped and i run my battery on the rear axle. (smaller battery)
