Default missing D-shaft pin...

So I was wheeling earlier today and the rear axle stopped pulling. Upon further investigation, it seems that I lost a pin in the universal joint. my question is: what is a good substitute that I can use to replace it till I cn get a new d-shaft assy?

AH HA! I fixed it with a small nail that I cut down to size and then squeezed it with a pair of pliers to crimp the cut end like a rivit! Thanks for the drill bit insperation Code!

if you add a pice of shrink rap around the joint it helps keep the pins in

im not positive but i think i used 3/8 the best thing to do is take your drive shaft off and go to radio shack and find the size that fits. you will need to take the small set screw out its eases to take the axel side off. you can pm me and ill send you some pics

i found that traxxas body pins fit snugly in the pin holes as well. just pinch the ends so they don't fall out again
