Question DIY Locker Fix

I have recently had the locker fail in the rear axle of my mrc,the hobby shop in town doesnt have the replacment parts in stock so I would have to waite a week and a half to get them in. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could maybee create my own locked rear axle? Ive heard of people using epoxy or JB weld to do this but have never seen it done, any pointers? And yes I do plan to upgrade to the metal lockers but was going to wait and do all my axle upgrades at once

I'm sure you could us JB weld but it wouldn't be reversable, meaning you would have to replace everything to make a new diff when you go the locker rout.
