Default MRC or Comp crawler

Hey Guys,

Well i've been having fun with my modded ax10 and now i've decided to satisfy my fix for a new crawler. I'm debating between the mrc and comp crawler. I just want one to have fun with. I know if pick the mrc I'll be modded the *@#! out of it. What do guys think? How capable is the mrc? Thanks.

Cheers,

Mike

The MRC is as capable as you want to make it. Out of the box it's fun but real quick it needs upgraded. Of all the rigs I have ever built though, the MRC is my favorite. I now own 3 MRC's and 1 comp Berg Tuber. I am even thinking of selling the Berg to do more MRC projects. It's all what u make it I guess.

If you already have a 2.2 it might be fun to try the 1.9 for a change. I'd say go for the MRC. You will probably end up spending the about same amount of $$$ on modding a 1.9 or a 2.2

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the input. I think I will go with the mrc. A 1.9 will be a nice change from the 2.2

For fun I like the MRC. You don't need huge rocks to make challenges for it, plus you can take it on trips without eating too much space. I put on top of all our gear when we travel and then take it out at the rest areas and have a little fun.

I like the idea of being able to drive the mrc indoors when the weather isn't great. Plus I found an mrc going for $239.99 at a local lhs near me. I know that doesn't sound like a deal but up here in Canada it is considering they usually go for $300. Now i'm trying to decide on a chassis. I'm thinking a either a mini slingshot or dark soul. Any thoughts?

Well, I am getting ready to build a mini. I really like the dark soul chassis, with the exception of the aluminum skid plate. Aluminum does not slide at all on rocks. I really like the GC-2 mini chassis, not in stock at the moment. But this chassis looks really sweet.

Agreed. The GC-2 is nice. Where can you get them? I've looked on TCS and they don't carry them there. Do you have to go through Dunn to get one?

Default MRC or Comp 2.2

I have the MRC and the Comp Crawler. I would get the Comp Crawler because it can do twice what the MRC can do. Plus I have about $900 into my MRC, if you plan to upgrade and spend $, spend it on the 2.2. Just me though. I think the MRC is very fun and I don't plan on selling it.

mrc is a driver class in comps i love mine since i rebuilt it as far as a chassis goes i am still tuning my kamikaze zero but am very impressed with its performance so far and it will only get better no torque twist thats what kills the mrc just dont buy the losi shocks they leak and there aren't repair parts the parts listing is wrong other than that the losi upgrades work well it will defenitly needs the blue claws cuz the stock tires are too hard

If the losi shocks leak what would you guys recommend? I've seen a few rigs with mlst shocks and such.

I use the Losi shocks in my Mini and I am very happy with them. I would recommend them because they are skinny shocks and you need all the space you can get. No leak problems so far and i run them upside down and drive them hard.
