I didn't find the post but I had it written down. Use the boat yolk Traxxas #TRA1593R. They come in a pack of 2 so u will need 2 packs for the truck. Then just buy any of the the traxxas truck shafts. #TRA1951 is a 2 pack with metal joints included. U can also get the TRA1953 driveshafts but they don't come with any of the metal joint units. Then just cut to fit!

Or you could just set the driveshafts up like I did on my Axial, Jeff, and you know how I tend to drive If the Losi shafts are anywhere near as strong as the Traxxas ones are, this should work pretty good |

Thats not a bad idea Joe, I hadnt considered doing that... Im going to check the LHS for the traxxas parts first, if they dont have them Ill go with the extension method.

looks like this However, if you just want to take a pair of males and a female mrc driveshaft halves to extend yours you can have mine that I removed from this. yokes are screwed up but you can use the shaft part.

has anyone tried the mini e-revo (1/16th scale) shafts? Part #7150 (two set of shafts) along with either the mini e-revo yokes (7057) or the villian yokes (7057)? If so, what is the length on them? My 1.9 is gonna have a 9.75" wb, so I want to see if this will work or not. Thanks! |

So.... anyone try out the traxxas shafts? Are then any longer than the MRCs? I wanna make sure that 1.25" (5/8 on each axle) longer wheelbase is covered comfortably. Last edited by monkeyracer; 08-07-2009 at 07:23 AM.

alright, so does anyone have the traxxas shafts I mentioned? Can you measure each half with yokes and post it up? Also, anyone able to post up the length of each half MRC shaft with yokes? Worse comes to worse, I will end up mating shafts like pantablo did, but I'd rather just use one set. Also, anyone using the MRC shafts (or something with the 4mm ID yoke) on a scaler with a 10" ish wb? The reason I think they might work is the track on the mini e-revo is 9.4", subtract the wheel width (1.9", but the shaft goes into the wheel a little bit) and diff width, And that should leave about 3" for the shafts when "compressed." And the female shaft has almost the whole male shaft, leaving me to think there's enough room for the male shaft to "extend" out of the female shaft while still leaving plenty inside for a strong fit. That and [sikax10 - maybe you've heard from] someone locally was talking about trying it, but I can't remember who, and if they've done it or not.
