Default My new MCR

I just got this thing last week and am having so much fun with it. You guys weren't joking about the lockers and servo. The servo lasted about 2 batts and the lockers one more.

The lockers CKRC sells replace everything in the diff except the ring gear. Do the Losi ones only replace the piece the axle slides onto?

I think the CKRC lockers are from RCBros. I bought their fullsize servo plate and it is the same as the RCBros.

I'll be buying the 645 when i have the money, along with tires, wheels, shocks....damn these things are expensive. I thought this would be a cheep hobby?!

LOL...
The hard part is trying to remove the UPS/FedEx packages from the front porch before the wife sees them.
I'm screwed when they fit in the mailbox, then she finds them everytime.

Default this worries me

i am worried about this becouse i am about ready to buy a losi MRC and i am on a really really tight budget (i had to save my alowens for 5 months to be able to buy one). When you say the servo lasted about 2 batteries did you mean you had to buy a whole new servo, and if so how much did one cost. Also do you think i should stil buy one?

IF you treat the MRC with care, and are fairly easy with it, then the servo will last, my stock one still worked fine after about 2 months of usage when I pulled it off for replacement.

You need to leave the stock servo saver on, and always be concious of how you are driving it.

The best advice I can give you to save the lockers is loosed the slipper up about 2 turns, this will allow the clutch to slip before to muxk stress is applied to the lockers

Yes, what he said. If you loosen the slipper a little and leave the servo saver on the parts will last. Then when you have more money you can upgrade to metal lockers and crank the slipper down. My wife doesn't what me spending money on upgrades, but if its broken she doesn't mind me fixing it. See where i'm going with this?

I'm The same way, i hate buying things for them if they are not broken, but if it is then i dont mind spending the money on it. also dont mind speding money if it is more preventative as in lockers and the servo
