Default BWD's newest Mini Chassis...Don's new mini rig

Well guys and gals, I've been working on a ton of new projects and thought I might take a few minutes and share one of the many with you all. It's a mini version of a new dual taper 4 link chassis I've been developing. I'm working on vid's of it this weekend but this will get ya started.

Here's a vid from the 10-17-09 DFW local comp.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeD90iYTR2c

Feel free to post up...more new things will be revealed here over the next few days

Is there a specific reason for the taper or is it "just cuz you can"? :-D

I'm glad you asked that...it's more than just because for sure. The taper aids in sqeezing the chassis through tights spots, allows more angle for off camber breakover climbs, and helps avoid high center situations.

I figured there was more reasoning behind it. Great idea, and I bet the 2.2 version will be just as cool

it's currently set to 2.0" center of skid, which is the lowest setting without limiting the shocks internally. That is going to change a lil with the new shoes.

Ed, it's for running the steering servo off center while running wheel wideners, so I can sit my battery up front. Waiting for that tweak until the new shoes are ready to bolt on

Very innovative 123 blocks make perfect stands for the mini crawlers.

OMG.....

I was just talking to ed about something like this the other day....

That is so bitchin.. I want one... So, when will it be ready, what will it ship with, and ummmm.... I WANT ONE. (I know you cant list prices, but lets say that low means under 40, mid means 41-60, and high means 60 plus) give us an idea... If you can?

Well, I'm glad to see all the pos responses. I am still working on vids/action pics but as soon as I post those, and pass the remote around some at crawlapalooza, I will have a good idea of how many to wrap up first run. Time to market will be quick as the parts are fairly simple to produce. I'm shooting for 60ish for sides, skid, braces, link mounts, links, and hardware. I will know how close I am on exact pricing in a week or so, but I will try to nail it down sooner.

Keep em comin! 2.2 version soon to be revealed.
