Default super 370 motor???

i was on my way home today, and i stopped at the LHS and picked up a team associated super 370 motor. i got the wrong pinion so i cant run it yet... guy gave me the wrong one... im pissed. can someone at least tell me if its gonna give me more wheel speed? it was only 12 bucks for the motor so i got it. they didnt have the slider motor so i had to get something... so is the super 370 better than the stocker? will it have more wheel speed? thanks for your time!

I have not tried that motor exactly, but I want to say a positive YES!
If its the motor I am thinking of it will work great.

i just got the slider motor ordered. does it fit in the stock mounting holes?
what can i do to reduce heat? and how do increase the run time? i have never messed with lipos. i dont know what the difference is??? im still running the stock battery. will the slider motor fry my electronics?

i dont know if the slider will fit with out modification, but if you go lipo you need a charger specific for lipo's, and with the stock esc there isnt a voltage cut off for the lipo so you could fry your esc if the voltage gets to low, smoke the battery, or worse start a lipo fire in your rig. what pinion are you running with the slider? ive been thinking about up grading to the slider my self.

Yes the slider will fit with out any modding. The only modding I did to the motor plate is make the sliding hole a littler longer so i could put smaller tooth pinion on the motor.

i ordered a set of three specifically for the slider motor. i am getting 9tooth, 10tooth, and 11tooth! i also ordered the upgraded heat sink so hopefully that will help with the sliders heat!
