| HB Rover's .. a or b side???
So I heard that if you mount them with the a or b side out it makes a difference on traction.. Any clue which way is more traction and which way for front vs. rear? |

I too would like to know the answer to this question, especially if the designers of the the tire would chime in and give everyone a clue. What would really be a kicker is if the a and b were just to indicate direction and not to indicate a specific traction difference, where a simple arrow would have sufficed. oh well, only testing and time will tell I guess.

You are just gonna have to test them out and see what works best for you. Personally, I like to run them with the center "arrow" pointing backward. Remember, if you dont like them one direction, all you need to do is swap the tires/rims side to side and they are now pointing the other direction.

JeremyH.. You're right about just swapping them to the other side of the axle but I'd like to know if there truly is a difference in traction designed in.. Seems to me that if they were just directional markings that a simple arrow would suffice.. What direction works for our local comping rocks may not work elsewhere.. If we knew how thet were intended to be used, we could make an educated decision looking at the terrain we were going to run on. I guess I'll email HB directly and see if I get an answer.. |
